My last post, I had the sad news that my engine has failed during the test drive.
Now, I know that the cause of this was the crankshaft bearing. See the pictures. We had to replace the crankshaft and crank case. I hope that we can have the car running this weekend.

Ahhh... that's mad!
So what happened? Was the bearing too tight? Or just defective? Where are the other balls?
"...had to replace the crankshaft and crank case..." I can imagine, with this bearing the shaft just whacked everything around. Really a pity.
Hope the pistons and cylinders were not damaged?
Yeah, it was painful...
I don't know of what happened exactly, there are several possibilities. I can not find the missing balls, all I found are the little pieces you can see at the main pic.
The cylinders and pistons got some of the pieces as well, so I am replacing both of them as well. Probably they can be re-use with some work.
I am happy that this happen here, and not on the road...
The local autoclub brought home the car for about 18USD :) I am glad that I am a member.
I have counted the balls and have them all. They used to be spaced out, that is why it look like missing half of them. The spacer broke into pieces, and caused all the trouble...
